LabVIEW support for the Intel Edison Module

LabVIEW users should be able to deploy programs to the Intel Edison Module 

The Intel Edison is a very small single board computer with a dual-core Atom processor, 1GB RAM and built-in WiFi/Bluetooth LE.

Functionality can be added by connecting breakout boards, so called blocks. Many of these blocks are already available, like ADC, GPIO, Arduino, PWM...

In my opinion the Intel Edison is very well suited for stuff like embedded control, robotics, the Internet-Of-Things, and.

Thats why I posted this idea to convince NI to support it in LabVIEW!

Hello, this is really a good idea.

Theorically speaking edison has already all the features to run labview application compiled for Linux, this is why edison use an Atom processor that is an x86 architecture so supported as target machine by Laview for Linux.

i'm not sure 100% about that so a comment by NI will be very appreciated.

i am agree with Ale914.

we have several embedded projects around labview, so we have add this board for evaluation.

and Look also if we can use for windows.

This board in standard work 0 to +40°C , -20°C to +80°C could be better !

later for results !

Member jdieringer describes how to deploy applications to the Edison module.   LabVIEW for Linux is needed to compile the binary though...
