New Certification Suggestion - The CLG

Status: New

I'm proposing a new certification, one certification to rule them all, the Certified LabVIEW Gangster Group Developer.

Or simply a fully functioning CLA that requires 3 people to take the test.

Architect

Developer

Embedded Developer

It should function using an FPGA, or a simulated interface.

What do you mean exactly by "Group Developer"?

 - Someone who can develop as part of a group?

 - Someone who can coordinate a group of developers? If yes, what is the difference with the CLA?

Who is receiving the certification among the 3 test takers?

 - All of them?

 - Only the Architect?

Yes develop as part of a group.

I think architecture that people can pick up quickly and not fumble with is good step above CLA

I think developing inside a new architecture is a step above CLD

I don't know much about CLED

I think all of them should be awarded the certification all or nothing.

Just as an example, it will be the ultimate test of whether the actor framework is worth doing, or just overengineered showboating.
I suspect one might find that their CLD teammate will be more likely to succeed with the simplest of architecture.

On the contrary, does that simple architecture work as well as you thought?
Just some thoughts

There is already a Center Of Excellence that I think covers what you are trying to get at.  It is more focused on processes such as training, code reviews, etc.
