Open VI Properties window on VI icon Control+double-click

Open the VI Properties dialog when the Control key is depressed and the VI's icon in the upper right is double-clicked.

Right-clicking the icon shows a pop-up menu with VI Properties, Edit Icon..., and Find All Instances. Double clicking it opens the icon editor.

Ctrl+i opens it, but developers often have one hand on a mouse and the other at the keyboard.

Sticky keys helps... I can do 99% of operations with only one hand operating keyboard and pen tablet.

Great for cat arm and helps against mouse arm.

+1. A related idea is: New keyboard shortcut: Alt + double-click to open Properties in Project Explorer (similar to Windows... . This idea addresses opening VI Properties from within the VI, while the related idea addresses opening the properties from the Project Explorer.

Personally I would slightly prefer holding down the Alt key instead of the Ctrl key, as that would be consistent with Windows File Explorer behaviour (opening file properties using Alt + double-click).

I'm not sure what the gain is.

Even without sticky keys turned on I can easily press CTRL+I with one hand and this should be even easier for right handed people.

It's a gain for either left or right handed people.

Right: take hand off mouse, feel around/look down to push combo they do not have muscle memory for, move hand back.

Left: take hand off keypad, feel around/look down to push combo they do not have muscle memory for, move hand back (me).

For me it's:

Hit CTRL, hit i

vs

Hit CTRL, move mouse, double click

Apparently, we weight key clicks and mouse moves differently.

Added bonus is that CTRL+i is document in the menu.

I don't think I'd object to the feature, but I don't think we're going to agree on the gain, just kudo the idea accordingly.

My idea does not remove your preference just accommodates different people's scenarios.

I agree, and I did mentioned that. But ideas do compete for available resources, so I kudo the ideas I really like.
