Unique Icon for LVDateTimeRec.ctl

Status: New

Getting a date / time time stamp is not uncommon while developing. This Type def should have a unique icon rather than the default.

I ran a quick VI Analyzer check across vi.lib with the 'Default Icon' test, and found the following 10 typedef clusters that are part of public LabVIEW APIs but have default icons:

 

  • vi.lib\_script\All Supported PropertiesOrMethods TypeDefs\ASC_UniqueIDStringParentIDStringName.ctl
  • vi.lib\_script\All Supported PropertiesOrMethods TypeDefs\ASPM_UniqueIDStringDatanameShortnameLongname.ctl
  • vi.lib\httpClient\MultipartData.ctl
  • vi.lib\Utility\Data Type\Member VI Info.ctl
  • vi.lib\Utility\miscctls.llb\LVAttenuationTypeDef.ctl
  • vi.lib\Utility\miscctls.llb\LVDateTimeRec.ctl
  • vi.lib\Utility\miscctls.llb\LVMenuShortCut.ctl
  • vi.lib\Utility\miscctls.llb\LVPointDoubleTypeDef.ctl
  • vi.lib\Utility\miscctls.llb\LVSceneTextAlignment.ctl
  • vi.lib\Utility\miscctls.llb\LVSelectionTypeDef.ctl

It would be very easy for LabVIEW R&D to assign non-default icons to these VIs. Even if the icons were just text-based (so 'DATE TIME REC' as an example). And yes, text-based icons are not localized, but again, *any* icon is better than the default icon or a blank icon.
