Better Management of Report Pages

Status: Completed

This was implemented for DIAdem 2012

Greetings

Walter

Right now, you can only delete one page at a time (using delete or the "manage...") feature.

Why cant I just select multiple pages and "delete all".  Or in the "manage..." feature, why cant I select more than one at a time (otherwise what is the little check box for?) and delete all?

Would be very helpful to add these features

assuming that you use DIAdem 2011, selecting multiple pages and then deleting them should work.

I am using Diadem 2011

Diadem: 11.3.0f4563 TDM

USI: 1.9.0f4551

DataFinder: 3.0.0f4556

and it is not working.  I am using the CTRL to select multiple sheets, and then right clicking and clicking delete...only one sheet deletes...

what am I doing wrong?

Hi jrk3z -

The checkbox in the "Manage" dialog switches which page is displayed.

It seems that currently using CTRL to select multiple pages in the "Manage" dialog doesn't work - we'll file this feedback to R&D.

However, in the meantime, using the SHIFT key to select multiple pages in the "Manage" dialog works just fine - simply SHIFT-click to select multiple pages and then select the "Delete Worksheet" button.  Please note that this follows the typical Windows convention where SHIFT-click will select only consecutive items - I understand that this is where CTRL-click would be a valuable use case.

SHIFT is used to select one consecutive block (one or more items), which is what currently supported. We'll discuss support for CTRL and with that support for deleting several blocks as new/improved feature

Thanks much.

I also think that it would be useful to be able to select more than one sheet without using the Manage function.  For instance, why cant I just use CTRL or SHIFT to select more than one tab from the REport View and delete from there?
